BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Jamaican group, T.O.K, which hit single ‘Footprints’ had taken the region by storm, is about to release a new album called ‘Our World’.

The album will be released in August through VP Records.

T.O.K, hailed as the world’s greatest dancehall super group, is made up of four members -  Alex, Flexx, Bay-C and Craigy-T, who have all contributed to the versatility and great sounds produced by the group that has grown to become a household name.

The new album will be a dominated by previously unreleased tracks and a few of T.O.K.’s recent hits including ‘Everybody Bounce’, ‘Super Model’ and ‘Guardian Angel’; the latter being a prayer for spiritual strength, sensitively sung over a one-drop reggae rhythm.

According to one of the members, “The album has an assortment of musical hues and, with this album, we have consolidated all that variety into one project. We have dancehall, one-drop, Latin-flavored beats, music for the hardcore listener, for the conscious listener and for the party goers; that is what our world represents.”

The last album from the group was done in 2005, titled ‘Unknown Language’, of which two singles ‘Gal You a Lead’ and ‘Footprints’ spawned Billboard Top 100 singles.

Footprints was done as a tribute to Alex’s brother who was a victim of a senseless killing. Both of these singles received heavy rotation on crossover radio stations like New York’s Hot 97 and Miami’s Power 96 and on major video outlets like MTV2, MTV’s “Direct Effect” and BET’s 106 & Park. Unknown Language also went Gold in Japan during its first week and quickly went on to sell Platinum.
