BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Laugh Entertainment, a community outreach network will tonight (June 19) present a night of pure comedy from 8:00 at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank Auditorium.

The theme for the standup comedy is “Life Nuh Dun Yet” and, according to the Public Relations Officer of Laugh Entertainment, James Browne, the event is aimed at sending a message to the general public that although someone is infected with the virus they can still enjoy life.

He also said that the comedy show would be clean and would not target HIV/AIDS victims.

At tomorrow night’s show, Jamaican comedians Christopher ‘Johnny’ Daley and Rohan O’neil Gunter will make you laugh ‘til yuh eyes wata’ with clean wholesome comedy.

They both have commendable careers and are some of the leading comedians in Jamaica today.

Daley is a seasoned entertainer who is well known in film, television, radio, theatre and comedy circles and possesses that magic ingredient of 'funny'. According to Browne, Daley just has to walk on stage and he will make people laugh. “He’s a quick learner and can bring comedy to any forum,” he said.

Daley was instrumental in discovering Gunter when he organised a comedy competition in 2006. Gunter won the competition.
With many rave reviews, Gunter is loved everywhere he goes to perform, and he has performed with Daley at several events in the past.

His most memorable joke was when he read the entertainment news by placing most artistes in a news form to say that, “A Lady Saw a Bounty Killa  running down a Beenie Man, but she called 911 to call Lieutenant Stitchie but got Voicemail and Busy Signal.”

Browne said that these are one of the many events Laugh Entertainment organizes with an aim of bringing the community together.

He said that in the past, they had held shows with Joan Hutchinson of Jamaica and Earl Phillip of Trinidad and Tobago.

He also said that parts of the proceeds would be going to the HIV Foundation to aid those living with the virus.

Tickets for the event cost EC$50 and are available at Zoe’s Total Body on Fort Street, Digicel, E-Caribbean and Positively Inclined.
