Soldiers discover illegal firearm in Cayon

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A patrol comprising members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force has removed yet another illegal firearm off the Federation’s streets.

     

    A police report stated that while patrolling and conducting searches in the Cayon area on Sunday night (Jun. 25), the soldiers discovered a Tech-22 Pistol with 13 matching rounds of ammunition and four persons were taken into custody.

    This discovery takes to 23 the number of illegal firearms removed from the streets of St. Kitts and Nevis for the year.

    The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force continues to appeal to citizens and residents to go forward and share any information they might have with regards to crime and criminal activity.  

    The Force advises that persons could do so by calling any police station, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 or by using the SKN Crime Reporter App on a Smartphone.
