Illegal firearm, ammo, marijuana discovered in St. Johnson’s Village

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JUST two days after the discovery of an illegal firearm and eight rounds of ammunition in Rawlins Village, Nevis, police have found a revolver and a quantity of ammunition in St. Johnson’s Village, St. Kitts.

     

    Also discovered was a large quantity of marijuana and two persons were taken into custody for the find.

    According to a police report, the marijuana was discovered yesterday (Jul. 10) by a team which had executed a search warrant on a residence in St. Johnson’s Village.

    The report also stated that a subsequent search of a vacant lot in proximity of the residence where the marijuana was discovered resulted in the find of a .357 Magnum Revolver and six rounds of ammunition.

    A team from the K-9 Unit was also involved in this search operation.

    No one was held accountable for the find.

    This discovery has taken to 28 the number of illegal firearms removed from the Federation’s streets for the year; five on Nevis and 23 on St. Kitts.

    Once again, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is appealing to the public to come forward and share any information they might have concerning crime and criminal activity.
