BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SOFT spoken, hardworking and easy to get along with were some of the terms used to described Hyacinth Hanley, who was named Kajola Kristada’s Employee of the Month for May.
Hanley, a mother of three and an 18-year veteran of the Industrial Site-based manufacturing company, was all smiles when she recently had a brief sit-down interview with SKNVibes.
This is the woman’s second nod for the EoM. She explained that over the years as an employ of the company, she had found a joy in rising early to make her way to work without any “fuss or fight”.
“I find that as being good! I get up after 5:00 a.m., I cook and then I get ready for work. It has been a routine that I enjoy.”
Hanley ensures that she gets to work on time and be at her station in the EX 11 Department whenever she needs to be there.
“The first thing about me working here is that I don’t be rude. I do my work – that is whatever they tell me to do I do.”
Hanley was congratulated by her supervisor, Kimara Boyd for the walking away with the prize.
She noted that Hanley is someone who is always punctual.
“Every day she is always on time. Before the clock strikes 7:30 a.m. she is always here at work and I can always depend on her to get anything done. As you can see, she is elderly and people might want to say that looking at her age and what’s not, but despite her age I can depend on Hanley to do everything and anything on the line without complaining.
Hanley is appreciative of all the managers and supervisors under whom she worked over the years, describing them as very loving and kind towards all of their subordinates.
