Ready to walk with 'WeDrive' this Saturday!?

By: Lyrone Herbert- PRIDE Sports Ltd, Press Release

Sandy Point, St. Kitts, JULY 25, 2017 – The 'WeDrive' campaign continues to take major steps towards addressing child hunger in the community, by staging creative fundraising events throughout the year, with the next being an early morning charity walk this coming Saturday at 6:00pm from Sandy Point to Lamberts and back. Childhood hunger is a major problem in our country - but it is solvable.

WeDrive is inviting all sporting teams, nonprofits and especially the residents of all communities served by the Sandy Point Primary School to participate on Saturday as it looks to create more awareness for it's cause.

"We aspire to do more, and initiatives such as Saturday's walk will go a long way as far as being a voice for the families that benefit from our breakfast program!  They need your help, we need your help!" said Xuxa Garroden- WeDrive Founder

Patrons at Saturday's event are encouraged to walk at their own pace, would be treated with light refreshments, and can also take advantage of a number of designated water stations throughout the route. All this and more for a small contribution of EC$20 that goes towards sustaining 'breakfast in schools'.

”We need the community’s support as we strive to feed bodies, minds and futures.  Outside of the standard registration fees for the event we are hopeful that generous donors would step forward and help us to reach our goal of expanding the program to cover two additional primary schools by 2018. " continued Ms Garroden.

Because hunger can’t be tackled alone, 'WeDrive' is open to partnerships with like minding organizations such as PRIDE Sports Ltd that are committed to affecting positive change in the lives of those living in Sandy Point and it's surrounding areas.

“We are asking our fellow neighbors and residents throughout the community to give back, give locally and meaningfully to ensure we support each other," said a PRIDE Sports Ltd representative.

“'WeDrive is not only providing food and necessities to families—but also hope,” continued the PRIDE rep. "Hope for a better future!"
