Kingston, Jamaica - FROM ‘Gimmie the light’ to ‘So Fine’ is what dancehall artiste Sean Paul is now singing and is the name of his new single to be released in the United States sometime before July.

According to Jahkno.com, the new single, ‘So Fine’, is the most downloaded reggae/dancehall song in France, Canada, Belgium, Norway and Sweden but it still has not been released in the US, the biggest music market.

It added that according to Sean Paul’s manager, the single would be released before July in the US. “We are just getting radio rotations first before we release it. And it should be released in two weeks in the US.”

Meanwhile his new album, ‘Imperial Blaze’, is set to be released on August 18.

So Fine has also landed on Billboard’s R&B Hip Hop singles and tracks tally, and it is the preview to his upcoming album, which debuts at number 90. It is Sean Paul’s 13th entry on that chart.

Sean Paul was born Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, and at age 21 he decided to give up playing water polo to launch his singing career.

He made a cameo appearance in the 1998 film ‘Belly’ on stage performing, then in 2000 he released his debut album, ‘Stage One’, with VP Records.

He has been one of the first Jamaican artist to have a music video premiered on BET and is known for hits such as ‘Get Busy’, ‘Like Glue’, ‘We Be Bunring’, ‘I’m Still in Love with You’ and ‘Give It Up To Me’, all of which made it to the R&B charts.
