BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, July 29, 2017 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, on Saturday July 2 extolled the importance of worship and invited all to join the National Executive and Membership of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP) as they worship on Sunday July 30 at the Faith Tabernacle Church in Green Tree Verchilds Village at 10:00 am.

The Prime Minister extended the invitation while speaking to the media on the lawns of the lower West Farm Project in Constituency Number Three (West Basseterre), at the end of the PLP/PM’s Health Walk which had started at 5:40 am outside the Fire Station in Constituency Number One (East Basseterre).

“Let me extend an invitation to all to participate in another national event put on by the Peoples Labour Party,” said Dr Harris. “This time it will be a church service at Bishop Joseph Henville’s Church in Verchilds, and I will want as many people to come out and to be part of that activity.”

Prime Minister Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, who is the National Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party, is a God fearing leader who is known for attending various churches on the island for Sunday worship either by himself or with the National Executive and Membership of the PLP. The last Sunday worship service the PLP team attended was on July 9 at the Word of Life New Testament Church of God on Central Street in Basseterre.

“I say thank you in advance to them who will seize the opportunity to come to worship,” said the Prime Minister. “I think worship is important because the fulfilment of the dreams of the people must be anchored with an understanding that without God in our midst not much can be accomplished.”

He pointed out that the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis is a nation under God and therefore as many times as it can be highlighted that the leadership understands that much of the blessings that the citizenry is having cannot be taken for granted.

“We need God in the lives of every family in our communities and by extension our country,” concluded the Prime Minister. “We therefore welcome this opportunity and thank the Bishop and his leadership for providing a welcoming venue for us this Sunday.”
