August 2nd, 2017 -- After Overnight Thunder and Lightning storm that left several areas across the island without power SKELEC has been successful in restoring all areas with electricity service.
After 11 pm on Tuesday August 1st, evening severe thunder and lightning storm affected electricity service to several areas across the island; these are but not limited to Newton Ground, St. Peter’s, Taylor’s, West Basseterre and West farm, among others. Restoration efforts began early in the morning on Wednesday August 2nd and was completed at 12:45 pm.
SKELEC takes this time to thank all its customers for their understanding during this time. We also would like to remind all customers that the most effective way to report on faults is by dialing 600 via their mobile phones, 465-2013 via land lines or via the SKELEC app.
