Basseterre, St. Kitts (June 23, 2009) - Christophe Harbour Development, in a grand gesture of support, today handed over EC$10,000 to the St. Kitts Music Festival Committee to revive the Front Stage concert.

"Christophe Harbour has certainly saved the day," said Faron Lawrence, chairman of the St. Kitts Music Festival Executive Committee.

Faron revealed that due to the lack of funds, the Front Stage concert was not scheduled to take place.

"So this donation has come in the nick of time," Lawrence said. "We do recognize that these are very challenging times globally, and so when Christophe Harbour is able to come forward with such a gift, that is indeed very special to us."

Front Stage is a Music Festival event, which for the past 10 years has showcased local talent and culture in the Independence Square.

This cultural extravaganza is held in the afternoon on days of the Music Festival, and affords visitors to St. Kitts with a day time activity where they can relax and unwind, while soaking up some of the rich Kittitian cultural offerings.

Chief Operating Officer, LeGrand Elebash, of Christophe Harbour Development pointed out that a foundation would be established to support environmental, educational and environmental causes in St. Kitts.

"So this donation to the St. Kitts Music Festival is just the beginning of many more to come," Elebash said. "This donation indeed shows that we really want to be a part of the culture of the island and we want to be supportive. We are certainly here for the long term and so we want to make long term investments in the people of St. Kitts."

Elebash said that a percentage of all property sales at Christophe Harbour will go into the Christophe Harbour Foundation.

"So, that money will stay on the island and used to enhance life here," Elebash said.

In accepting the EC$10,000 donation, Lawrence invited Elebash to the Front Stage concert, which will take place this Friday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

"Thank you Christophe Harbour for actually affording us the opportunity to put on an event that we would have had forego, if it was not for this donation," Lawrence said.
