BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE ‘Miserable Life’ artiste Ziggy Rankin and the Caribbean’s leading music portal Tempo today (June 23) visited SKNVibes’ office on Central Street, Basseterre.
Rankin, whose real name is Khori Francis, arrived on St. Kitts this morning and will be performing on the Friday night segment of this year’s 13th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival along with Stephen Marley, Beres Hammond, Odisi Band, Dagah and Burning Spear.
During his visit to SKNVibes, Rankin along with members of MTV Tempo including Tempo’s Senior Vice-President and General Manager Frederick Morton, Rise and Shine host Jamie Thomas, did a live interview on Pep Radio.
They were interviewed by Pep Radio on-air personality Leslie ‘Sugar Bowl’ Morton, where Rankin talked about his upcoming festival performance and other engagements he would be a part of while in St. Kitts.
Rankin said that while on the island he would be shooting a music video for one of his upcoming singles - ‘Gotta Get You Girl’.
He also said that he would be a part of the “Badness Out of Style School Tour” in St. Kitts, which was organised by Tempo.
He is currently working on new material for his upcoming album and will be travelling to Grenada for an event following his Music Festival debut.
A special Rise and Shine show will be produced in St. Kitts featuring the Federation’s top local gospel acts while Tempo has come onboard to ensure that Nevis’ Culturama festival for 2009 and the Music Festival are properly marketed and exposed.
