Monday 14th August, 2017 (St. Kitts & Nevis) – The St. Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC) is pleased to announce its six (6) “sizzling” young menwho will be competing in this year’s National Mr. GQ Competition. The Competition will be held on Wednesday 27th December at 7:00 pm, at the Sugar Mill, Warner Park Cricket Stadium. The Competition, as customary, will be paired with the National Swimsuit Pageant. Both competitions were introduced in 2015 for Sugar Mas 44.
The Mr. GQ Competition is one of St. Kitts Nevis National Carnival’s most talked about Competitions as it is fairly new and invigorating. The Show allows gentlemen who would normally opt out of participating in the Calypso and Soca Competitions to have an event that matches their theatrical preferences.
The segments of the Competition include Beach Wear, Carnival Costume, Talent, GQ Wear and On-stage Interview.
The Competition is open to nationals from both St. Kitts and Nevis between the ages of 18-35. Our reigning National Carnival Mr. GQ is De-Syl Hamilton, who is from our sister island, Nevis.
The St. Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee started preparations at a record pace this year for Sugar Mas 46, with formal registration having kicked off since April 2017.
