Government House, Basseterre St. Kitts, 30th August 2017 -- On Friday I st September, 2017 His Excellency The Governor-General Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton GCMG, CVO, QC, JP will preside over a Swearing - In Ceremony for an Acting Deputy GovernorGeneral for Nevis.
The Ceremony which will take place at the High Court, Court House, Charlestown Nevis will commence at 11 a.m. when His Lordship The Hon. Mr. Justice Trevor Ward, QC will administer The Oath of Allegiance and The Oath of Office to Mrs. Marjorie Morton, CSM. Her Honour Mrs. Morton will act in the Office of Deputy Governor-General for Nevis from 1st September, 2017 to 31st December, 2017.
Her Honour Mrs. Morton brings a wealth of experience to her new Post having served earlier as a Permanent Secretary, Clerk of the Nevis Island Assembly and later President of the Nevis Island Assembly.
