National Bank convenes a merchant seminar

    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (September 28, 2017) – A merchant seminar designed specifically for merchant acquiring partners, hosted by the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Limited convened at the Ocean Terrace Inn Conference Room, Fortlands, St. Kitts on Wednesday, September 27th 2017 at 5:00pm. An unprecedented 70 persons were present, representing various businesses from throughout the federation.   

     

    As card processing becomes increasingly vital to day-to day business operations, National Bank, believes it is critically important to continuously educate and sensitize clients on Best Practices for accepting cards, mitigating chargebacks, data protection and fraud prevention tips. Ms. Eloise Thomas and Mr. Jamal Collins, in their presentations highlighted the benefits of card acceptance and the various processing solutions offered by National Bank. Mrs. Marlene Nisbett presented on Best Practices for Card Acceptance and Associated Risks. The transaction life cycle during the acceptance process was underlined as well as effective risk mitigation practices. 
      
    Mr. Victor Boyce, Chief Credit Risk Officer presented on the various Loan facilitates offered by National Bank highlighting how each facility can be tailored to meet the need of each business. Mrs. Bernice Grante-Kelly, Chief Electronics Services Officer “wrapped up the session” reminding merchants of the importance of observing best practices. Merchants were advised to be vigilant during the card acceptance process as this would help to minimize fraud and avoid other related penalties.  
      
    Other key persons in attendance were Mr. Alexis Nisbett, Chairman and Mr. Analdo Bailey, 1st Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Anthony Galloway, Chief Financial Officer of the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank Limited.
