BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A West Farm family woke up this morning (Oct. 7) to the sad news of one of their loved ones lost his life as a result of a shooting incent in Old Road.
This information was confirmed by a senior member of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, who told this publication that police are currently investigating the shooting incident and a press release would follow shortly.
According to reports reaching SKNVibes, the name of the deceased is David ‘Putty’ Wilkinson of West Farm.
This media house was told that another man, 35-year-old construction worker Jervian ‘Chronic’ Davis, was shot to his left hand and was taken to the JNF General Hospital for treatment to his non-life threatening injury.
It is reported that at about 2:30 a.m., the two men were among a group playing cards at Biggz Snackette in Old Road when three armed, masked men entered the establishment and fired a number of shots in their direction.
Wilkinson was pronounced dead on the scene by the District Medical Officer.
His death has taken to 19 the number of homicides committed in the twin-island Federation for this year; seven on Nevis and 12 on St. Kitts.
