BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 25, 2017 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- Tuesday evening October 24 saw the fourteen teams in the 22nd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition move into the fifth segment of the second round. Giants Domino Club was the only team that recorded a revenge win.

Being the second round of the home-away round robin stage of the league, the teams would have gone back to the boards with the aim of erasing what had happened in the first round if they had lost, or extending the winning if they had won in the first round. Of the seven teams that had lost in the first round, only Giants managed to reverse the result by beating their first round adversary.

When Giants met Guinness in the first round at Bernette Bar in Hidden Alley Lodge Village, they lost 11-13. But when in the second round the two met at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project on Tuesday October 24, Giants beat Guinness 13-9. That was a sweet revenge, being the only one registered on Tuesday evening.

In the second game played at the Lodge Community Centre, Lodge beat Small Corner 13-7; Beers beat Molineux 13-5 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux; and defending champions Unity beat Unstoppable 13-11 in a game played at Bernette Bar in Lodge Village.

Other results saw Upsetters beat Christchurch 13-7 in a game played at the Domino House in Mansion; Saddlers humiliated the visiting Tabernacle with a 13-3 beating at Shanty Bar in Saddlers Village; while Sylver’s who travelled to Constituency Number Six to face Parsons at Rousey’s Place on Main Street in Parsons beat the home team 13-7.

Constituency Seven Domino League moves ahead in the second round of the round robin stage with the sixth segment that has seven games which will be played on Thursday October 26 at five venues. The Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux will host two games with Molineux facing off with Giants, and Unstoppable meeting the visiting Tabernacle.

Bernette Bar in Hidden Alley Lodge Village will also host two games, Guinness vs. Parsons, and Beers vs. Saddlers. Other games will see Small Corner meeting Mansion Upsetters at Domino House in Mansion, and Sylver’s will be hosting Christchurch at Tacky Bar in Hidden Alley Lodge Village.

Game of the evening and one not to be missed by all domino lovers will be at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project. Come early to secure parking space not too far from the community centre. The game will involve two local giants facing each other, defending champions Unity and top title contenders and former champions Lodge.

In the first round Lodge upset the defending champions Unity by beating them 13-11, and pundits are saying it won’t help for anyone to make armchair predictions from the comfort of their homes. They are challenging all to turn up to see who will emerge victorious at the end of the evening.

All games start at 7:30 pm.
