By: GIS, Press Release
GIS, 25 October 2017 - Residents are asked to follow the following steps for electrical inspection through the Electrical Inspection Unit (EIU).

    Existing Occupied Buildings

    1.    An Electrical Inspection form must be submitted for all occupied, damaged, residential/commercial buildings. Forms can be collected at the Central Administration Complex, Conference Room 3. No fees will be applied.

    2.    Residential/commercial buildings that are not damaged will not require a licensed electrician to sign the application form. It is required that the “OWNER/AGENT” and “JOB SITE ADDRESS” section of the application be filled out, provided with a valid contact number. The application should be returned to the EIU for further processing.

    Newly Constructed Buildings

    1.    Newly constructed residential/commercial buildings that were completely destroyed and are in need of new meter(s) must submit an electrical inspection form. Forms can be picked up at the Central Administration Complex, Conference Room 3. A fee would apply based on the amount of breakers.

    2.    Newly constructed buildings (residential/commercial) are subject to an electrical inspection, which would be carried out by an electrical inspector. Property owners should schedule an appointment and pay the necessary fees to the EIU in order to obtain a certificate of approval.

For more information, please visit the Electrical Inspection Unit in the Central Administration Complex, Conference Room 3.
