BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IT was another joyous occasion for Roxan Hodge who, for the fourth time in her 19-year employ at Kajola Kristada Limited, was adjudged that establishment’s Employee of the Month.
She was named Employee of the Month for August 2017 and has had her name again added to those on the company’s Wall of Fame for their exemplary performance.
The last time that Hodge had won the monthly award and presented a certificate of recognition was in March last year.
As was expressed by one of her colleagues, “Hodge has become a regular, a role model and it was befitting for management to recognise her for her exemplary work and punctuality.”
SKNVibes caught up with the bright-smiling, friendly Newton Ground resident, who works on the Notching Line, and was told that she was overjoyed to be able to receive the award this time around.
Hodge has been in the employ of the company since 1998, over which time she the company’s Employee of the Month on four occasionsd.
“This is the first one for the year. I also got it once last year,” she said. “I find working here lovely, it is a nice environment, they have lovely people and they have lovely bosses.”
Hodge noted that she finds it enjoyable to rise early in the morning and journey to the office, where the managers and supervisors are more than welcoming to her and other members of staff.
She indicated that there is no problem being early at the C.A. Paul Industrial Site-based company, adding that “all you have to do is put yourself in that position where you would want to be here on time”.
Hodge has often been described by her supervisor, Beulah Sutton-Belle, as a “good and hardworking individual”.
Among the criteria for being adjudged Employee of the Month are knowledge of the job, quality, attire, versatility, punctuality, attendance and team building.
