BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AS part of a robust plan to increase housing capacity around the island of St Kitts, the National Housing Corporation (NHC) is ready to unveil the first batch of houses under Phase 1 of the Unity Housing Solution Program which began earlier this year.
The Hon. Eugene Hamilton, Minister of Human Settlements, Community Development, Land and Cooperatives will on Tuesday (Nov. 7) officiate the ribbon cutting ceremony and handing over of keys to the new owners of the completed houses who went through successful mortgage application process.
At the ceremony expected to take place at the Cunningham Heights Spooners in Cayon, Minister Hamilton will also be launching The New NHC: Committed to Familycampaign. The new brand promises a streamlined mortgage application process, a dedicated customer center as well as enhanced overall customer interaction platforms.
The event will be streamed live on the NHC St Kitts YouTube page and the NHC St Kitts Facebook page.

The National Housing Corporation (NHC) was incorporated in 1996 after being renamed from the Central Housing Authority (CHA). NHC was created by an Act of Parliament in 1997 for the purposes of “adding and improving” the existing supply of houses and enhancing the usefulness of the funds of the Corporation by promoting greater efficiency in the housing sector.
