BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A male Buckley’s Estate resident and his son were on Wednesday (Nov. 8) arrested and charged for allegedly having a large quantity of marijuana in their possession.
According to a police communiqué, on the day in question, members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force had executed two search warrants on two separate Buckley’s Estate premises of Steadman ‘Jah Tutts’ Adams and his son Kwesi Adams.
The search revealed that both men were in possession of large quantities of marijuana.
Also reportedly found on Kwesi’s home were EC$15,280 and US$1,387.
They were both charged with possession of cannabis (marijuana) and Possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
The communiqué stated that the father would also be given an additional charge of cultivation as 257 marijuana plants were found atop his roof growing in a number of makeshift pots.
It further stated that another individual, who lives in the same house with Kwesi, was also arrested and is currently in police custody.
