Charlestown, Nevis; 16 November 2017 -- The Jamaican Kittitian Nevisian (JamKitNev) Association is the association of Jamaicans and friends of Jamaicans, including partners of Jamaicans, living in the Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis (SKN). JamKitNev, with its motto of Goodwill & Unity Through Service, aims to unite Jamaicans, residing in St Kitts & Nevis in fellowship and to positively contribute in service to the community in which its members live.
In April 2016 during a meeting of the Nevis Chapter of the JamKitNev Association discussions were held about contributing towards community projects in Nevis. Assistance to the Cecele Browne Integrated School was suggested and agreed. It was also agreed that a Fund-raising Gospel Concert would be held in celebration of Jamaica’s National Heroes Day and part proceeds from this Concert would go towards assisting the School.
During consultation with the Principal of the School, Mrs. Violet Clarke, a few items of need were identified. The JamKitNev Association has succeeded in securing a popcorn machine which was high on the list and which will be presented at an Official Handover Ceremony on Monday, 20 November 2017 starting at 9.00am at the School grounds, in Prospect, Nevis.
Jamaicans and well-wishers are being asked to support.
