Basseterre: Wednesday November 22, 2017 – In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Week and International Children’s Day, OPEN Interactive - a full-service Technology, Media, Marketing and Public Relations agency - today hosted students from Dr. William Connor Primary School in a special luncheon at their offices, the OPEN Creative Campus, in Basseterre.
The students who were accompanied by their teachers were treated to a tour of the OPEN Creative Campus, an incubation space activated within key developing geographical areas to facilitate capacity building, knowledge sharing, ICT innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship – essential to nation building.
The special guests also toured SKNVibes.com media offices, one of the federations top news outlet and a sister company to OPEN Interactive, before gathering for a special lunch and inspirational discussions about the value of education, existing and emerging opportunities in the fields of ICT and media.
OPEN Interactive Chief Executive Officer, Stachio Williams, said children are the future of a nation and significant investments must be made to prepare them for a bright future.

Wednesday November 22, 2017, which marked the Wear Blue Day, where organisations supporting the child abuse prevention cause wear blue items of clothing, saw OPEN Interactive staff come to work in blue shirts and post messages on social media urging the public to join in in support of the cause.
The “Child Abuse Prevention Week” is an initiative by the Department of Probation and Child Services and is scheduled to run till Saturday November 25 under the theme Creating Awareness: Acknowledging our Children’s Value Nationwide.
