BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 25, 2017 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- Semi-finals of the 22nd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition will see the four top teams Lodge, Unity, Saddlers and Beers fighting for the last two spots (the final) as from Tuesday November 28 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux.

They will be meeting in a best of three games semi-final where Lodge which was at the top at the end of the round-robin stage will face Beers who were in the fourth position. The second placed and defending champion Unity will meet the third placed Saddlers. Action starts as from 7:00 pm for the first of the three games.

They will then meet on Thursday November 30 for the second game at the same venue. According to the league organiser Calvin Farrell, if there will be a third game, it will be held at the same venue on Tuesday December 5.

In the meantime, the battle for the best of the rest starts on Monday November 27 and continues on Wednesday November 29 at four venues. All games will start at 7:00 pm. Top seeded among the rest, Sylver’s, will meet Parsons, the team that finished at the bottom of the round robin stage encounter, at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project.

In other best of the rest games, Tabernacle will meet Small Corner Bar at T-Vill’s Hang Out Spot in Tabernacle Village; the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex will host two games - Molineux vs. Guinness, and Unstoppable vs. Giants; while Domino House in Mansion will be the venue for the game between Mansion Upsetters and Christchurch.

According to the league organiser Calvin Farrell, teams with the best win at the knockout stage of the best of the rest will get the bye.

The league organiser is happy for the fact that even though this year’s league had the highest number of participating teams, fourteen in all, it has progressed without hitches save for some interruptions during the first round of the round robin stage of the tournament which were caused by two hurricanes that visited the Federation.

Twelve of the teams taking part in the tournament are from Constituency Number Seven, while two are from Constituency Number Six. Mr Farrell noted that this year’s competition has been special in the sense that for the first time the players were provided with uniforms that were donated by the sponsor of the league.

The league, as the name suggests is sponsored by the area Parliamentary Representative Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, who is also the Prime Minister of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. He is also the Political Leader of the Peoples Labour Party (PLP) one of the three parties in the ruling Team Unity Administration.
