BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, November 28, 2017 (PLP PR Media Inc.) -- Monday night November 27 saw five games being played in the knock-out stage of ‘the best of the rest’ in the 22nd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition. However, three of the five games on the card were won via walkover.

Sylver’s Domino Club, which was top seeded among ‘the best of the rest’, took on the team at the bottom of the league, Parsons Domino Club, at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project. The result was Sylver’s 13 - Parsons 3.

In the other game that was played, Unstoppable beat Giants 13-7 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux.

There was drama as in three of the games, the home teams did not show up giving their opponents easy and predictable walkover wins.

Small Corner Bar Domino Club travelled to Tabernacle Village where they were supposed to meet Tabernacle Domino Club at T-Vill’s Hang Out Spot, but the home team could not raise enough players and Small Corner Bar were awarded a 13-0 win.

Guinness travelled to the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux to meet the home team Molineux who also did not raise a team, giving Guinness an easy 13-0 win.

At the other end, Christchurch travelled to Mansion where they were due to meet Mansion Upsetters at Domino House, but the home team could not raise a full team of players. Christchurch returned home with an easy 13-0 win.

By virtue of their splendid win, Sylver’s get a bye to the semi-finals. The other semi-finalists will be determined when the other two knock-out stage games will have been played on Wednesday November 29.

According to league organiser Calvin Farrell, the two games will be played at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project. Small Corner will meet Unstoppable, while Guinness will meet Christchurch. Both the games will start at 7 pm.

The team recording the best win will get a bye to the final, while the other winner will meet Sylver’s. Mr Farrell could not say when the finals would be held as he first needed to consult with the teams.

In the meantime the first game in a best of three semi-finals for the Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League supremacy will be on tonight (Tuesday November 28) at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux.

Lodge Domino Club who finished at the top of the round robin stage will meet the fourth placed Beers, with the defending champion Unity Domino Club who finished in the second position will meet Saddlers who finished in the third position.

The second game will be played on Thursday November 30, and if there will be the need for a third game that will be played on Tuesday December 5 at the same venue.
