BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – CARNIVAL VILLAGE will be blazing this evening when 13 of the top Soca entrants for this year’s Sugar Mas Festival take to the stage on night one of the eliminations.
According to a post by the St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival Committee (NCC), the following artistes would be competing this evening - BGz, J Money, Blade, Foxy, Nickhail, Wayne P, Bary C, Dejour, Jaren De Music Man, Lil Miss, Teflon, DJ Woodis ft Selecta Mad and P Plus.
SKNVibes Entertainment understands this year’s elimination round would feature 27 participants.
The National Committee has made a significant change to this year’s competition, which did not find favour with several artistes.
The committee decided that there would only be one competition – thus merging the Groovy and Power segments.
Reigning Monarchs Rucas (Groovy) and Lax/KT (Power) both have a bye into the finals and will be squaring off on December 22.
The competition gets underway at 8:00 p.m.

• Foxy – ‘Wuk Up Pedigree’;
• Nickhail – ‘Bring Dah’;
• Wayne P – ‘Chinese Soca Gal’;
• Bary C – ‘Bring You Bumper’;
• Dejour – ‘Soca Rebel’;
• Jaren De Music Man – ‘De Music Man’;
• Lil Miss – ‘Indicator’;
• Teflon – ‘De Vibes’;
• DJ Woodis ft Selecta Mad – ‘Wootoop TV; and
• P Plus – ‘Sweet Sugar City’.
