Hundreds turned out for Inception’s Midnight Mas in Frigate Bay

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – HUNDREDS of revellers turned out in Frigate Bay on Friday night (Dec. 1) to participate in the inaugural Inception ‘Midnight Mas’, which was deemed a success by the Chairman of the Inception Committee, Anthony Johnson.

According to committee members, for this year they are looking at ways of giving back to their fans and sponsors, and as a result they have added two events to their calendar – Midnight Mas and a concert.

Speaking with SKNVibes Entertainment, Johnson stated that Friday night’s event was all about bringing people together to celebrate j’Ouvert at midnight.

“It is all about Inception, it’s a promotional activity for the Inception Fete 2017. As you would know, we are bringing Chronix on December 9. The idea really was to promote our sponsors and to promote the people.”

He pointed out that they have added two events to give the people more time to enjoy themselves during the carnival period.

“It’s all about the people,” he stated. “Inception is all about the people!”

The event started on time from the open lawns in Frigate Bay and headed along the Strip, before the party was stopped shortly after 2:00 a.m., as the allotted time had expired

The organizers were pleased with the turnout as Johnson pointed out that they saw more people than they had anticipated.

“The turnout was awesome! We advertised and had a limit of only 400 persons, but in less than three hours those spots were gone. Even though they were gone about three, four, five weeks ago, hundreds of other persons have come out.”

The annual Inception Fete, is touted as one of the most successful Carnival events offering unlimited entertainment and drinks for 12 consecutive hours over the last seven years.

This year’s event is slated for Saturday (Dec. 30) on the grounds of the Historic Fort Thomas Hotel.
