BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE reigning National Carnival Queen of St. Kitts and Nevis, Samantha Boone, has done the Federation proud by placing Second Runner-up in the coveted Miss Carival Pageant held in St. Vincent last evening (July 3).
Miss Grenada, Asheida Charles, was adjudged the overall winner while capturing the Best Talent and Best Interview awards during the process.
The First Runner-up position went to Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Derri-Ann Browne, who also won the Best Evening Wear and Most Community Spirited awards.
A total of nine countries participated in the pageant - St. Lucia, represented by Cathy Daniel who won the Best Swimwear, Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality awards; The Bahamas, represented by Aisha Delaney; Kayan Toussaint of Dominica; and the Dominican Republic represented by Seila Subervi Sierra.
Venequela was represented by Deyanira Morales while St. Vincent and the Grenadines was represented by their reigning Carnival Queen Veronique Williams.
Vincy Mas continues tonight with the Soca Monarch Competition as the reigning King, Gamal ‘Skinny Fabulous’ Doyle, will be defending his crown against 19 other competitors.
