Chronixx Shines at Inception Event

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IT was an entertaining evening for local reggae fans, as popular regional songster ‘Chronixx’ held his own at the recent Inception event over the weekend at The Old Fort Thomas Hotel.

Despite several bouts of rain that sent the crowd scampering for cover, Chronixx never stopped his electrifying performance, where he belted out some of his top songs, including ‘In a Rasta man party’, ‘Don’t Give up’, ‘They don’t know’, ‘Who knows’ and ‘Here comes trouble’.

Performing as the headline act, he entered the stage after 1:00 a.m. and entertained for close to 90 minutes, and left fans swaying to his slow enjoyable renditions.

Many braved the chilly weather and called for more of his music.

Also performing were Shanna Raymond, Dejour, Sweet Sister Sensia and Infamus, among others.

Earlier, Chronixx told reporters that he was happy to be in St. Kitts and Nevis performing on his Chronology tour – which wrapped up in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The reserved entertainer received a nomination for his Chronology album in the Reggae Album of the Year category at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

He stated that the Recording Academy in America is the biggest institution for musicians and producers, and to get such recognition is impressive.

“To be acknowledged by them is like any other award. It is a good thing,” he said. “It is good because the most important thing is to get acknowledged by them for the people of which your music is primarily made.”

He noted that when people within the industry decide that it is worth their attention and acknowledgement, that is where you would have a good feeling.

The Chronology tour saw the Jamaican entertainer touring the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Caribbean region, including Guyana and St. Kitts and Nevis.
