BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FANS are in for high-energy performances from reigning kings Rucas H.E, LAX and KT, when the curtains come down on this year’s Soca Monarch Competition.

Rucas, who is the reigning Groovy King, has a lot in store for his fans and the competition.

He told SKNVibes Entertainment today that fans need to come out and see what is in store, as he looks forward to winning the merged competition.

“As per usual, you can see a lot of elements which would be part of my performance tonight. You can expect a lot of different things that people would need to see in person, so I would I would not suggest that anybody miss the show tonight,” Rucas stated.

He expressed confidence in bringing home the crown.

“My team and I are very confident with what we have and would put our best foot forward on stage. We are going to leave it all on stage because we are looking to capture another crown.”

SKNVibes reached out to the duo, but was unable to get a comment up to press time.

Just recently, KT told this media house that their entry – Chopper – has met all the criteria for this year’s competition.

They are expected to receive stiff competition from the likes of Nicha B, Nikhail and Dejour.

Jeezy Sparta, Mr. Hype, K Warner, Dagah, among others are also looking to upstage the kings.

The winner/s of this year’s competition will walk away with the crown and $11,000 EC, along with having a single be produced and recorded by Red Boyz out of Barbados.

For this year’s finals, the National Carnival Committee has solicited popular entertainer, Orlando Octave, whose 2017 hit song ‘single’ has been making waves in the Federation.

Gates open at 8:00 p.m., while the show gets underway at 10:00 p.m.
