Flemming and Dore Cop Crowns at Mr. GQ and Swimsuit pageants

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Dec. 29.17– ONE was no stranger to pageantry, while the other is a new comer to the arena. Jackiema Flemming and Arundell Dore both walked away with crowns in the Ms. National Swimsuit and Mr. GQ competitions respectively. 
     
    Flemming beat out five other beauties to lift a National Crown, something that has eluded her for a number of tries.
     
    The six contestants were judged in three categories: Creative National Pride Segment, Glitz and glamour Swimwear Segment and Identical Swimwear Segment – along with the final interview.

    Flemming copped the awards for Identical Swimwear and Best Interview to amass a total of 875 points, beating out Olivia Walters with 828.5 points (First Runner up) and Anita Sullivan who gained 735 points.

    Sullivan walked away with the Chairperson Award, while Walters took home the National Pride Swimwear and the Glitz and Glamour title.

    Additionally, Walters was adjudged Ms. Photogenic, while Sullivan won the Amity award, Flemming carried away the Most Popular Online contestant title.

    Meanwhile, in the Mr. GQ competition, Dore gained a total of 1176 points to win over Denville Francis (1142 points) and David Archibald (1131).

    The new king won the Best Beachwear presentation and the Best Costume presentation.

    In the Best Performing Talent: Francis was adjudged the winner, along with the Best GQ Wear.

    Best Interview went to: Wricherley Gumbs, along with them Mr Photogenic and the Most Popular GQ Participant online.

    The popular Mr. Cool award went to David Archibald.
