Three Escaped Unharmed in Latest Shooting

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Dec. 30.17 – LAW enforcement officers on St. Kitts have their hands filled, as 2017 draws to a close – as three persons have escaped major injury in two separate shooting incidents.
     
    The first incident reportedly occurred at around 8:23 a.m. when police received reports of a shooting on Pond Road in Basseterre yesterday.
     
    According to preliminary investigations by police, Marlo Martin was driving across Pond Road heading west, when, in the vicinity of Neverson Street, an unknown assailant opened fire causing damage to the vehicle. 
     
    He escaped unhurt, according to a police communiqué.
     
    Just over 12 hours later two individuals escaped with their lives after gunshots rang out in Trafalgar Village.
     
    The police in a press statement today, indicated that on Friday, December 29, at around 10:21 p.m., they received a report of gunshots heard in the above-mentioned area.
     
    Upon inquiries, Police have confirmed that that “two persons were seated on the side of the street on Cardin Avenue when two unknown assailants opened fire.  The persons who were in the area fled the scene and two vehicles that were parked in the area were damaged”.
     
    The incidents are being treated as shooting at with intent.
     
    Persons with information regarding either or both incidents  are urged to contact the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241 or the nearest police station.
