By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com
CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, Jan.18.2018 – LEON Jeffers of New Castle, Nevis was on Tuesday (Jan.16) released after he appeared in the Nevis Magistrates Court.

According to information obtained by SKNVibes News, Jeffers, who was charged with conspiracy to commit murder in 2013, went before Her Honour, Magistrate Yasmine Clarke.

Represented by Attorney Chesley Hamilton, Jeffers had his case dismissed on the grounds that no evidence was offered in the matters by the Chief of Police..

In 2014, a press release issued by the Police Press and Public Relations Office informed that Jeffers was arrested and charged on warrants in the first instance, in connection to the shooting death of Kishmoy Challenger of Pond Hill and Adrian Springette of Bath Village.

It is said that Challenger was shot after 8:00 a.m. on May 14, 2013, after he reportedly disembarked his vehicle having arrived for work at Cliff Dwellers.

This media house reported that information received suggested that upon exiting the vehicle two gunmen opened fire on him, striking him several times and made good their escape in his vehicle.

He succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the Alexandra Hospital.

In the case of Springette, he was shot and killed on June 22, 2013 at about 2:15 a.m. at the Elquemedo Willet Park, Nevis.
