CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, Jan.19.2018- A driver of an SUV made a narrow escape as the vehicle he was in fell into the sea, in an attempt to board one of the car boats to St. Kitts last evening.
No one was reportedly hurt from the mishap at the Charlestown Pier.
According to reports, the vehicle was about to be transported to St. Kitts when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled off the pier.
Videos of a vehicle floating in the Caribbean Sea were circulated via social media.
In one instance, the occupant of the vehicle was seen climbing through the driver side window to escape.
In another video he was seen holding onto the vehicle as the front end was being submerged.
None of the videos obtained by SKNVibes show attempts by anyone to assist the occupant of the vehicle.
Contacted today, the Police Force’s Public Relations Division confirmed that they did received reports of the incident.
