By: Jermine Abel, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Jan.28.2018 – FLOW yesterday (Sat. 27) continued with its sports experience, when they held the ‘FLOW Ultimate Football Experience’.

The event, which was held at Warner Park, was a football skills experience geared towards children between 12 and 16 years old.

Marketing Manager at the mobile giant, Sharisma Patrick, told SKNVibes Sports that the event, which is in its second year, sees FLOW and Manchester United partnering to give young footballers “an amazing opportunity to participate in a chance of a lifetime skills development initiative”.

She said that the Caribbean Football Union has endorsed the initiative, which was held in 15 countries that they have offices.

“This partnership promises to deliver the ultimate football experience to young footballers across 15 Caribbean countries that FLOW operates.”

Giving further details, she stated that up and coming footballers were nominated by their football clubs or teams to compete.

The representatives chosen competed in a number of challenges, including short passing, dribbling, defensive qualities, teamwork, and attitude.

According to the FLOW rep, the skills were taken from the Manchester United Soccer Schools programme, and local coaches evaluated and ranked each player.

Patrick disclosed that 45 children were registered for the event, including girls.

This experience, Patrick pointed out, highlights their commitment to sports in the region.

“FLOW has invested heavily in the development of football across the region. And our partnership with Manchester United reaffirms that commitment. The FLOW ultimate experience gives us the opportunity to develop Caribbean youth and provide them with positive life-changing experiences.”

She added that along with the football club, they want to give the youths the opportunity to harness the skills within themselves.

Against that backdrop, she pointed out that like Manchester United, FLOW has a deep commitment towards youth development.
