BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Feb.04.2018 – POLICE have indicated that American, Christopher True of Silver Reef, who resides in Frigate Bay has been released on bail.
True was slapped with a charge of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving, following the death of Sandy Point pastor, Mark Hodge.
On November 18, last year, the pastor reportedly left the venue of a gospel concert in Needsmust, and was attending to his vehicle when he was struck by a car being driven by True.
True was granted bail in the sum of $500,000 and is expected back in the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 12.
He was set several conditions for his bail: (1) the applicant is to report to the Frigate Bay Police Station once daily between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.; (2) the applicant is to surrender his passport and all travel documents; (3) the applicant should not leave the Federation until the matter is disposed of or dispensed with; (4) the applicant must refrain from driving any motor vehicle or train or locomotive in the Federation pending the outcome of the matter; and (4) any breach of any one of these conditions will result in revocation of the bail.
