BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Feb. 17.2018 – ORGANIZERS of the St. Kitts Music Festival have announced the full slate of performers for this year’s event and the nights on which each will entertain.
Headlining the latest additions are Soca sensation Destra, Wayne Wonder and Fetty Wap.
They joined the likes of Patti Labelle, Lauryn Hill and Spice who were already confirmed by end of last year.
At a ceremony and party held on Bank Street yesterday, Chairman of the Artistes Selection Committee, Jonel Powell confirmed the nights for each act.
On Thursday Night, June 28, dubbed Soca fusion, Nu Vybes and Small Axe will perform along with Spice, Destra, Kes the Band and Nailah Blackman.
The following night will see Sizzla Kalonji, August Alsina, Ishawna, Wayne Wonder, Chackademus & Pliers, Dejour and Byron Messia.
On Saturday June 30, Fetty Wap, Lauryn Hill, Patti Labelle and Rhythm of the Beat will entertain.
Powell confirmed to SKNVibes that the stated lineup is the final list for 2018, pointing out that there is an early buzz around the Festival.
He explained that the rationale behind the early announcement is to give people in the diaspora and other visitors the opportunity to prepare themselves by knowing the slate of performers.
This is the first time that organizers announced the full lineup this early in the year.
