The St Kitts diabetes association completed a primary school screening exercise today Thursday 22nd February at the Brontie Welsh primary school.
Approximately 10 percent of the school population was screened with the individuals being in the 10-12 year age range.
It is hoped that similar screening exercises can be carried out in all of the primary schools on St Kitts over the next 1-2 years.
Thanks to all media houses, organisations and individuals, who collaborated in this venture with the association, and we look forward to having your continued support, as we continue the battle against this disease called diabetes and it's dreaded complications that we are all now too familiar with.
