BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Feb.25.2018 – DESPITE intermittent drizzle, Shaquoya Flanders’ smile lit up the Sandy Point Hardcourt as she walked away with the title of Ms. Black San 2018.
Flanders, Ms. Quality and Experience Tire Repair and Services, beat five other beauties for the crown and will be the Federation’s representative at the Ms. Black San International Pageant slated for April 1.
Amassing a total of 652.5 points from four judged segments, Flanders edged out Ms. Development Bank, Jacynthia Teshiera (649.5 points) and Ms. I Cool, Charity Mardenborough (639 points).
Flanders also walked away with the ‘Best Swimwear Title’, after tallying 194 points.
Mardenborough took home the title for the ‘This is Me’ segment, totaling 143 points, while Teshiera walked away with the ‘Best Question and Answer Title’ with 185 points.
Speaking with Reporters, a joyous Flanders stated that all of her hard work has paid off.
“I’m so happy! All of my hard work has paid off, you guys don’t know! It has been such a challenging road and I am so happy to be victorious this year.”
With the big prize of representing St. Kitts and Nevis at the international pageant, Flaunders stated that there are a few areas that she will be working on to ensure that the crown remains on the island.
“I will be working extra hard because it is second international pageant and I want St. Kitts-Nevis to win. So, I am going to work extra hard and ensure that the crown stays in St. Kitts and Nevis.”
Meanwhile, Miss SKN Vibes, Khrystal Hanley took home the Ms. Amity title and the Chairman’s award.
Mardenborough was adjudged Ms. Photogenic.
