Mavado and his Manager escape injuries in three-vehicle collision

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE self-acclaim ‘Gully God’, Mavado, who recently performed at the 13th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival, is currently counting his blessing after he survived a weekend car accident unscathed.

The ‘So Special’singer and his Manager Julian Jones-Griffith were involved in the accident while on their way to an assignment in Negril, Westmoreland.

According to 876radio, the vehicle in which the two were travelling sustained minor damages, but the car that hit them was totally written off while the third vehicle, a passenger bus, was also badly damaged.

Jones-Griffith, who was the driver at the time of the accident, was later quoted as saying it was his quick thinking that sparked him to swing, and “the bus in front of us write off, the car that hit us was totalled and our car, just the back door mash up. Thank u Jah for giving me that vision to swing".

The media house also stated it is alleged that the vehicle that caused the accident was stolen and, as immediately upon collision, the occupants disembarked and ran into some nearby bushes fleeing the scene.
