BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – YOUNG women between the ages of 18-25 with a keen interest in pageantry can execute their skills in this year’s Miss National Queen Pageant as the committee is now accepting applicants.

Application forms for the pageant can be collected at the Festival Secretariat, Pelican Mall and potential contestants must keep the Friday, August 28, 2009 deadline in mind.

The successful candidates will compete in Swimwear, Talent, National Costume, Interview and Evening Wear on the night of the pageant.

The winner will receive a total of EC$10 000, along with other gifts and prizes.

The reigning National Carnival Queen is Samantha Boone, who recently placed Second Runner-up in the recently held Miss Carival Pageant in St. Vincent.
