BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Mar. 08.2018 – KAJOLA-KRISTADA LTD. is recognising the contributions of its employees with the recent announcement of the Employee of the Month award for January, 2018.
Added to the “Wall of Fame” for the fourth time is Elaine Matthew-Nisbett, who has been with the company for over 18 years.
The announcement was made in festive style, with singing and clapping, around the entire factory several times before stopping at the awardee.
Recounting the announcement as a shock, Matthew-Nisbett said she was far from expecting the accolade.
“They [supervisors] came around singing the Employee of the Month song and after going around the factory a couple of times, they stopped by me. It was a complete surprise to me because I did not do anything different. I just keep doing my job the best I can,” she said.
She said, however, she is happy to know that all of her hard work and dedication is still being recognized, having won this prestigious award on three other occasions.
Matthew-Nisbett’s Supervisor, Beulah Sutton-Belle told SKNVibes that although Matthew-Nisbett has only been working on the Surface Mount (SMT) line for one year, she has caught on to the work quickly in the short time and she shows that she can manage very well.
“She has met all of the criteria. She has an excellent attendance, she is punctual, she is reliable, she handles her work well, and she has, as always, gone above and beyond the call of duty”.
Matthew-Nisbett said that she is happy that she was able to start off the 2018 Employee of the Month and intends to keep working hard.
