Reggae Sumfest to kick off Sunday with high-power artistes

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A number of renowned artistes are gearing up for the 17th annual celebrations of Reggae Sumfest to be held in Jamaica`s resort Capital, Montego Bay from July 19 to 25.

     

    According to a release, the festival will kick off with a Beach Party on July 19 and would be followed by three nights of electrifying live performances beginning on July 23.

     

    The event, known to be the world’s biggest reggae festival, will see performances by Spice, Vybz Kartel, Kip Rich, Konshens, D`Angel, Black Ryino, Lady Saw, Prodigal Son, Jah Vinci, Charly Black, Flippa Mafia, Errol Lee & the Bare Essentials, Cameal Davis, I-Octane, Jah Cure, Da`Ville, Coco Tea and Dubtonic Kru, and a list of others. 

     

    Reggae Sumfest was first staged in 1993 and quickly became the world`s premiere reggae music event. The festival showcases the best of Dancehall and Reggae music, as well as top R & B/Hip- Hop performers, and offers delicious Jamaican cuisine and arts and crafts. Each year, the even attracts more than 30,000 patrons to the tourist capital of Montego Bay.
