ROAD TOWN, Tortola – MACHEL MONTANO HD, Daville, Cham and the Grand Masters Band of St. Kitts are just some of the performers scheduled to highlight the East End/Long Look Festival in Tortola.

The festival is scheduled to kick off the Miss East End/Long Look Pageant on Friday, July 31 and will follow with a Beach Fete on Saturday, August 1.
Jam Band and Showtime Band are scheduled to provide entertainment along with boat races and other beach action as part of the lineup.
The East Village will open on Monday, August 3 with the Return of the Titans, featuring Jam Band, Imaginations Reunion and Prime Time, and will be a prelude to the Digicel-sponsored Reggae Success Show that will feature Daville and Baby Cham.

Tuesday, August 4 will be soca madness with Kendoy 'Reds' Penn Memorial Soca Show, featuring local Soca Monarch Jamesy P, Ritical, Luni Sparks and Electrify, Fireman Hooper and the Xtreme Band.
Soca sensation Machel Montano HD will be the headliner for that night.

On Wednesday, the CCT-sponsored Daddy Friday Rise and Shine Tramp will take place and music will be provided by the Jam Tyme Band.

Following the tramp, all roads will lead to the Digicel-sponsored Family Fun Day and Parade that will feature DJ Renegade, Leon and the Hot Shots, Show Time, Paul Keens Douglas, Grand Masters, and Cool Sessions.

The annual festival is said to be a celebration of the territory’s emancipation and it is hoped that, with this historical event in mind, there would be no room for violence.
