BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO females from Basseterre were arrested and charged after the authorities found an illegal substance on their premises.
A press release issued yesterday (July 14) by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force informs that members of that institution executed a search warrant on the premises of Recia Caines of Cunningham Street, McKnight and Cameitta O’Donahue of the same address “for controlled drugs, arm and ammunition”.
The exercise resulted, according to the release, in a quantity of marijuana being found on the premises.
The women were taken into police custody and were subsequently arrested and charged with “possession of cannabis” and “possession of cannabis with intent to supply”.
The release further states that both women were granted bail and are to appear before one of the nation’s Magistrate Court as soon as possible.
Investigations are ongoing.
