BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Apr. 3.2018 – LAW enforcement officials are currently working to identify the male body that was found on Sunday (Apr. 1) in the mountainous area of Wingfield Road.
At around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, police received a phone call about a body that was found in the said area. When they visited the scene, along with officers from the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services (SKNFRS) and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF), they found the decomposing body of a male amongst the trees on the side of a steep ghaut.
The discovery quickly spread around the federation with many speculating the identity of the body.
An autopsy is expected to be performed shortly, as authorities continue to work to confirm the identity of the individual.
