BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Apr.14.2018 – POLICE have disclosed the identities of the two individuals involved in the deadly car accident in Sandy Point yesterday (Apr.13).

Dead is Kechel Pemberton of Sandy Point, while  Kyle Woodley of Newton Ground is hospitalized.

In a detailed report, the police force explained that Woodley, who is the owner of motor vehicle P9122 , was driving along the island main road towards Sandy Point.

Circumstances are that while in the vicinity of the gas station at Brimstone Hill, Woodley attempted to overtake another vehicle.

In doing so, he lost control of the car and collided with a pole. The  vehicle spun in the air and landed on a private property next to the Island Main Road.

The police said that Pemberton, who was the passenger in the front seat, was thrown from the vehicle.

“The Emergency Medical Service was summoned to the scene where they rendered assistance and both individuals were transported to the JNF Hospital. There, Pemberton was pronounced dead and Woodley was admitted for observation after suffering minor injuries,” police said.

An autopsy will be performed on the body of Pemberton to determine the exact cause of death.
