BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Apr. 29.2018 – GENERAL Secretary of the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA), Stanley Jacobs expressed satisfaction with the recent performance of the women’s senior football team during the  Caribbean Challenge Series.

The team came away with two wins and one defeat, with their only loss coming at the feet of the St. Lucians.

Jacobs explained that the series was important for the SKNFA, since it was used as a practice opportunity for officials to round up the best talent for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

He told SKNVibes Sports that the senior team has been inactive, and the tournament was a major boost .

“We believed that they performed well, and so congratulations to the team and congratulations to the coaching staff. We now move into the next phase of preparing for CONCACAF qualifications in May and I believe that we are well on our way and the girls can do their best.”

With the series complete, the team is now in full preparation mode, according to Jacobs, whichentails fine-tuning deficiencies that were found during the Challenge Series.

Jacobs noted that the preparation time will ensure that all the ladies are fit and ready to compete against some of the region’s best footballers.
