BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Apr. 30 – LAW enforcement officials are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in relation to a gun found in Cayon.
Though no description was given for the individual, police are reporting that on April 23 at about 9 p.m., while conducting a routine patrol in Upper Cayon, officers began approaching a male in the area.
He then took off and ran through a nearby empty lot of land and managed to evade the officers.
“A search was made in the area where he ran and one (1) Ruger SR9c was found with eleven (11) rounds of ammunition inside. A search was also made in the surrounding areas for the suspect, but he was not found,” they said in a statement.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing; nine (9) firearms have been taken into police custody for the year so far.
