New magazine launched to promote SKN and its CBI programme

By: Jermine Abel, SKNVibes.com
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 11.2018 – UNIQUE, classy and simple, beauty with simplicity were some of the terms used to describe the federation’s first Citizenship by Investment magazine -The St. Kitts & Nevis Citizen - which was launched yesterday (May 10).

The magazine, which was produced by media and marketing agency, OPEN Interactive, showcases the federation, its untapped potential and its offerings to economic citizens and investors.

CEO of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Citizenship by Investment Unit, Lez Khan told the gathering at the launch that the development of the magazine was to create a unique document to showcase the federation’s programme.

“When we thought of having a magazine dedicated to St. Kitts and Nevis CBI programme. We wanted something that would put us above the others, something that did not group us with other programmes and something that highlights the creativity and beauty of St. Kitts and Nevis. Something that is special to us and reflective of the platinum brand,” explained Khan.

He said that the magazine represents the platinum brand that is St. Kitts and Nevis’ CBI programme., while giving the investors a taste of the paradise.

“It speaks of professionalism in service. It is a powerful marketing tool; can be described as a show of class,”  Khan added.

Prime Minister, Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris in commending the developers of the magazine, saying that he is heartened to know that it was done by homegrown talent.

He stated that the magazine showcases “who we are as a people, our values, our aspirations for the good life and for the future”.

“So today, we launch St. Kitts and Nevis Citizen magazine and, in its preface, it says in part:  Delivering tailor-made solutions to your unique immigration needs has been the focus of our CBI programme for over three decades. The St. Kitts & Nevis Citizen takes stock of our Platinum Standard milestones inspired by you, as we endeavor to safeguard your deserved piece of paradise.”

OPEN Interactive's Creative Director, Klieon John explained that the inaugural edition of the magazine highlights what makes St. Kitts and Nevis unique in a very competitive market.

“Today I am proud and honoured to present the work of a highly dedicated, skilled and passionate team of writers, designers, photographers, journalist and artists who, over the last year, spent countless hours, often into the wee hours of the morning, to bring to you what we believe is at once an authentic representation of our country and an intentional departure from the expected,” explained John.

Drawing focus to two words that defined the framework of the booklet - authenticity and intention – John noted that as he and his design team sat down to begin shaping a response, they thought about the intended life and purpose of the publication.

“We knew that it was destined for a life of travel – to faraway places where the majority of its readership might not be familiar with the two tiny Eastern Caribbean islands that form the world’s smallest independent nation. As the pioneers of the Citizenship by Investment model, we knew our inaugural publication would also need to be first-of-its kind, and mirror that spirit of innovation, boldness and ingenuity.

“We were mindful of the importance to our CBI programme to national growth and development, so this publication would need to fall in line with the high-end, luxury products on offer to potential investors and citizens. We needed to represent this small place in a big way; to grab attention and clearly communicate what makes St. Kitts & Nevis unique among an increasingly competitive market. We needed to stand out yet be ourselves,” he said.

The magazine was launched in time for the 2018 Caribbean Investment Summit, scheduled for May 16-19, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.

Each of the 220 delegates slated to attend the event will be presented with a copy in their bags.

The event is sponsored by amongst others, Caribbean Galaxy Real Estate, Bluemina Citizenship and Immigration, Bitcoin.com, BDO, S-RM, Apex Capital, Christophe Harbour, Exiger, Joseph Rowe Law and PassPro.
