BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 11.2018 – A mother and daughter will be driving around in style, having won themselves a 2018 Creta from the Indian Castle Fishers Association, Nevis.
In a short handing over ceremony held yesterday (May 10) at the Horsford’s Commercial Complex, Jenalia and Deborah Audain received keys to their new vehicle.
Stephen Moore, President of the Indian Castle Fishers Association stated that the duo, when first solicited to take part in the raffle, were skeptical “but with a little persuasion, they eventually bought a ticket and I’m pleased to announce that they are now the 2018 winners of the car raffle”.
He said that the raffle, like the Fishing Tournament is an annual staging which takes place on Labour Day. He added that the Fishing Tournament was postponed due to inclement weather but they did not want to hold back the winner of the car, hence the official draw was done on May 7.
He noted that the Association, although based in Nevis, brought the handing over ceremony to St. Kitts because the winners reside on the sister isle.
An overjoyed Jenalia accepted keys and documents with smiles, making her the official owner of the new car.
